Industry Has A Good Day at Range Day 2018

Jan 24, 2018

Industry Day at the Range 2018 seemed to be a huge success with attendees. There’s never a shortage of new products to see, handle and try, but cooperative weather makes the process of traversing the huge shooting line much more pleasant.

One of the hot new products was the Hammer .50 Caliber Air Rifle from UMAREX.  Media members were impressed with a big-bore air gun capable of sending .330 grain bullets 50 and 100 yards downrange at more than 950 feet per second. It’s a serious heavy-caliber hunting gun with a price tag under $1000.

There were plenty of “regular” guns on hand as well. Competition shooter/trainer Chris Cerino helped us put several of the new guns through their paces, including the new Hudson 9mm (above).  And Smith & Wesson’s new products in the M&P and M&P Pro lines drew lots of media attention as well (Below).

Many of the new products at Industry Day were accessories, not guns or ammo. Michelle Cerino (above) was doing some field testing on one of the new concealed carry bags from Hiding Hilda (www.hidinghilda.com). Appropriately enough, this ones is the “Michelle - Princess Gunslinger” in the Hiding Hilda hero line. Others, like these all-aluminum, made-in-the-USA Magnum Z shooting glasses from Gatorz Eyewear are designed for men and women (below).

And if shooting everything from paintball and crossbows to extreme long distance precision rifles wasn’t enough, attendees had the opportunity to try their hand at throwing knives and tomahawks.
