Safety Notices
CZ-USA is committed to the highest standards of safety and product quality. Through rigorous monitoring, we have identified a manufacturing defect affecting the un-single barrels of certain CZ All-American Trap Combo shotguns. We have discovered that specific un-single barrels may not have been properly brazed into the monobloc, potentially resulting in barrel separation or rib detachment during use.
ASP has determined that a small number of Ultra Plus Handcuffs have internal lock sets that may malfunction under certain circumstances, and is offering replacement parts for affected restraints, at no cost. These parts are easily user-installed.
Colt’s Manufacturing Company LLC has recently learned of a potential safety issue with its CBX bolt-action rifles. Both the CBX Precision and CBX Tac Hunter models are affected. Colt is voluntarily initiating a recall of these rifles because of the potential for an unintentional discharge of the rifle, without pulling the trigger, under certain conditions when the manual safety is disengaged.
Hornady® is recalling sixteen (16) lots of item #81199, 350 Legend 150 gr. SP Hornady BLACK® ammunition. These lots were shipped between the dates of November 2, 2023, and August 19, 2024.
CVA has identified a concern related to the welds between the barrel and barrel lug on a limited number of CROSSFIRE rifles featuring Burnt Bronze Cerakote® / Nitride barrels. There is a possibility that dropping the firearm or repeated firings could compromise the weld, leading to a separation of the barrel from the lug during firing. Therefore, CVA is initiating a Voluntary Recall. This recall applies to CVA CROSSFIRE rifles with nitride-treated barrels ONLY (CR3804NM and CR3804NSC) and DOES NOT apply to standard stainless steel barreled firearms.
IWI US, Inc. (“IWI”) has determined that the Carmel Rifle has a safety issue with the firing pin blocker and is thereby subject to a Safety Warning and Recall Notice. IWI is issuing this mandatory recall to repair the safety issue in the specific Carmel rifles. IWI will correct these recalled firearms at no cost to the customer, and this recall does not affect any other IWI products.
SIG SAUER is reminding consumers about the risks associated with the use of light-bearing holsters, which have been involved in a number of alleged unintentional discharge incidents. Due to the large openings in these holster designs around the trigger (necessary for accommodating the bezels of attached weapon lights), fingers or foreign objects may be able to enter these holsters and contact the trigger.
CZ is voluntarily initiating a safety recall for all CZ All-American Single Trap shotguns. This recall has been initiated to ensure the safety of our valued customers due to the potential for unintentional discharge if the trigger is pulled with the safety engaged and/or if the shotgun is dropped, even with the safety engaged.
Norma Precision Inc. has identified possible inconsistencies with neck tension in a small number of .308 WIN Norma Tac 147 Grain FMJ cartridges. This may allow the projectile to become loose, including during transport. Continued use of the potentially affected ammunition could impact safe firearm performance leading to property damage and/or injury.
A specific barrel batch in caliber 6.5x55 SE, which is used in the SAUER 100 model, is being recalled as a precautionary measure. The rifles in question, that we have identified based on their serial numbers, must not be used any longer and should be returned to SAUER USA in exchange for a new rifle.
Sig Sauer has determined that portions of Lot No. JDAR0815 of SIG SAUER 9MM, 115gr, Elite Ball, FMJ (SKU E9MMB1-50), may have powder charge variations that could result in a bullet remaining in the barrel (i.e., a bullet-in-bore obstruction). Ammunition from this lot should be segregated from other ammunition until it can be returned to SIG SAUER.
Tristar Arms, Inc. has recently discovered a potential safety issue with certain TriStar Viper G2 .410 Shotguns. If a user prematurely releases a shotshell while loading or unloading, the unretained shotshell could potentially contact the Bolt Lock Button inside the loading port and detonate.
FN America, LLC announces a safety bulletin for the FN 502 Tactical .22LR pistol. The company has become aware that a very limited number of FN 502 Tactical pistols in the field may have an improperly installed manual safety.
