Former Vice President Joe Biden is widely known for his gaffes, but his claim during Tuesday evening’s chaotic Democratic debate that “150 million people have been killed since 2007” was simply outrageous, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said in response.

The U.S. Senate Thursday evening confirmed Daniel Ashe as the latest Director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Ashe, a career employee of the agency, will assume his duties immediately. Dale Hall, Ducks Unlimited CEO and Director of the FWS from 2005-2009, praised the Senate action, calling Ashe "a strong supporter of wildlife resources, avid outdoorsman and committed conservationist."

Last night, the U.S. Senate voted to end debate on the nomination of one of the most outspoken animal rights, anti-hunting, and anti- Second Amendment individuals to a high government position. By a 63-35 vote Cass Sunstein's nomination to head the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs was moved via cloture vote.
