Under the general direction of the VP of Sales, the Regional Director of Sales leads the sales initiative for Battenfeld Technologies, Inc. (BTI) within their assigned region. This position is responsible for attaining the sales goals in their regions along will leading the sales team to meet those goals.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Battenfeld annual sales, gross margin and profit goals within the assigned territory
  
• Travels to the extent necessary to conduct sales contacts with dealers and distributors to establish accounts, sell products, develop relationships and to work with and develop outside sales staff
  
• Supervise external sales representatives in specified regions
  
• Assists in the hiring of external sales representatives
  
• Develops strong relationships with high level customers
  
• Responsible for all for all trade shows Battenfeld participates in
  
• Assists in the development of the sales strategies for trade shows
  
• Responsible for territory forecast and budget
  
• Assists in the creation of BTI promotional schedule
  
• Perform performance reviews and follow up regularly to develop team
  
• Work safely as well as identify and report any safety hazards immediately
  
• Maintain good housekeeping in personal area and all commons areas

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Management, or other business related field
  
• 10+ year's selling experience
  
• 5+ year's industry experience
  
• Skills & Knowledge:
  
• Strong negotiation, analytical, management and organizational skills
  
• Detail oriented
  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
  
• Efficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  
• Ability to lead and develop a team
  
• Product and market knowledge

Licenses:

• Driver's license
  

Special Requirements:

• Regular and predictable attendance is required
  
• Travel of approximately 25% of time; including U.S. & foreign travel requirements
  
• Some work is required in "off-hours" for example attending meetings at 5:00 AM or 8:00 PM occasionally to communicate with people in other time zones.
  
• Ability to move 50 pounds on a regular basis
  
• Ability to sit for long periods, ability to move about the facility freely
