Louisville, KY - In reaction to the continued growth of their youth archery program, Scholastic 3D Archery has named Scott Bennett as the new S3DA Louisiana State Coordinator. As the State Coordinator, Scott will oversee all aspects of the S3DA program in Louisiana, including tournaments, training and dividing the state into regions that will allow S3DA participants multiple monthly competition venues as close as possible to their home location. Scott will also recruit and hire Regional Coordinators to oversee and manage these individual regions.

"Growing up, archery became an outlet for me," says new S3DA State Coordinator, Scott Bennett. "Archery filled a void in my life and gave me something to strive for. It taught me discipline, respect, sportsmanship, how to be an ethical hunter and it helped me gain the confidence to succeed in other areas of life. For these reasons, my wife and I feel that the Scholastic 3D Archery program is the best way for us to "pay it forward" and share our passion for archery and bowhunting with our local community and the great state of Louisiana."

National Director Michael Lundeen is also very excited about this new edition. "Scott brings with him many years of archery experience as well as the largest indoor archery range in the state of Louisiana. I am confident he will be the leading force in bringing his state to the forefront of the S3DA program."

Started in December 2012 by the Scholastic Archery Association, S3DA has grown exponentially as a next step program to follow introductory programs offered as part of 4-H or the National Archery in Schools Program. S3DA addresses the need for a program to bridge beginning target archery experience and more advanced activities such as 3-D shooting and bowhunting. The program currently serves thousands of young archers across the United States in grades 3 to 12.
