After the recent successful launch of the S1 full size stock, UTG PRO has created the new S2 Recon version, a lighter and slimmer alternative. Designed to improve handling while combating fatigue, the S2 Recon is the epitome of a sturdy, lightweight, and durable modern AR stock.
Although originally designed for AR type carbines, the S2 Recon makes for an equally impressive stock on modified AKs or other long guns that use a Mil-spec 6 position extension tube. Despite its slim profile, the slanted cheek rest is still kept intact for the S2 and provides a comfortable cheek weld that promotes a consistent shouldering of the firearm.
The S2 Recon has an extended 7.5" length of pull (LOP) fully collapsed and can accommodate just about everyone's preferred LOP when adjusted anywhere along the 6 position extension tube. While still remaining slim and lightweight, the S2 features an ergonomically chamfered rubberized butt pad with a heavy duty pattern for maximum traction control. An integral ambidextrous standard sling loop and a reversible QD sling swivel housing provide attachment points for single or multi-point slings. The 6 position adjustment latch is based off of the Mil-spec standard providing an easy transition for those who were trained on using Mil-spec AR configurations previously. Manipulation of the latch will feel right at home.
Just like its bigger cousin the S1, the S2's angled front allows it to sit flush with the lower receiver when fully collapsed for a very streamlined integral look and feel. The excellent fit and finish of the S2 Recon is inherently a direct result of UTG PRO's advanced tolerance control procedures and state-of-the-art RoboShot injection molding machinery, along with our forever lasting attention to detail. The S2 Recon is offered as an assembly kit (RBUS2BM) that includes the stock, Mil-spec 6 position extension tube, recoil buffer, buffer spring, tear drop ring and castle nut, and is also available as a standalone stock (RBUS2BMS).
