Little Wildlifers Program Offered at Crex Meadows Wildlife Area

Grantsburg, WI – A variety of summer programs are being offered at Crex Meadows (WA) that will teach children and adults about wildlife and help them gain a greater appreciation and understanding of our environment. Children ages 3 - 8 are invited to take part in the Little Wildlifers program with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) and UW-Extension. Youth can enjoy an enriching recreational experience through nature and conservation activities.

Children are offered a chance to discover nature through stories, songs, hands-on activities, crafts, and snacks. Explorers venture around the woods and prairies of Crex and learn about the various plants and animals found on the property. The Little Wildlifers program assists parents and guardians in the overall development of your children by providing an exciting environment for personal connections with nature's building blocks.

Program occurs on Tuesdays from 10:00 – 11:15 am June 17 – July 29, 2015. A different nature related theme will be featured each meeting. Little Wildlifers is a free, no-registration, no-obligation program. An adult is asked to remain with the child for the session. When weather permits, the program will explore outdoors. Dress for the weather.
