Outdoor Journalism Conference Free for College Students

MISSOULA, Mont. – Scholarships are available for college students who wish to attend the June 26 – 28, 2015, Outdoor Writers Association of America conference in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Through the support of Safari Club International Foundation, OWAA is offering three-day and single-day passes to qualifying college students wanting to attend conference. These passes include meals and all conference sessions and activities. Transportation and lodging expenses are not included. The 88th annual OWAA Conference is a can't-miss opportunity for outdoor journalists, communicators, businesses and agencies and offers networking and craft improvement opportunities.

This year's agenda includes news-maker sessions featuring some of the highest positioned staffers from federal agencies, non-profit organizations and elected offices. Topics range from climate change, to the sale of public lands, to protection of the greater sage grouse. Business sessions cover how to competitively price your work, cloud tools and apps for improving your efficiency, and complex ethical questions like baiting in wildlife photography and FAM tours.
