Outdoor Family Fun On Tap At Owl Brook Hunter Education Center Open House

HOLDERNESS, N.H. - The Owl Brook Hunter Education Center will host a public Open House on Saturday, June 13, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring the family to enjoy hands-on activities related to the shooting sports, hunting and trapping. Admission is free.

Visitors will have a chance to hone their shotgun skills breaking clay targets, or try target shooting at the center's environmentally friendly rifle range. Kids can get hands-on shooting experience at a BB gun range and video-based interactive shooting simulator. Youth and adults can try out the archery range, or use your own equipment at the center's 3-D woodland archery course.

The Open House will feature a tree stand safety seminar, retrieving dog demos, and demonstrations by the NH Trappers Association. Test your hunting knowledge on the Hunter Education Field Exam Trail, get basic map and compass instruction, and learn about safe firearms handling.

Enjoy free ice cream donated by Granite State Dairy Promotion, and remember to get in on the free raffle.
