C Products Defense Engineer Receives Award

Bernie Shreve, Chief Engineer forC Products Defense Magazines, was named the 2015 Engineer of the Year in a ceremony conducted at the company headquarters in Bradenton Florida on Monday, April 20th.

"We are very fortunate to have someone of Bernie's caliber heading up our engineering department," says C Products Defense company president Adel Jamil. "Bernie is not one to rest on his laurels, he is constantly looking to perfect and improve our products."

C Products Defense recently competed with other magazines for an OEM contract with a major firearm manufacturer and were the only magazine with zero failures with over 100,000 documented rounds of testing.

"I'm excited and humbled by the award," comments Shreve, "But I'm more excited to have a leadership in a company that allows us to explore new technologies and invests in the R&D necessary to make these industry-changing advancements. I'm also proud to be engineering a magazine made in America with American raw materials in an ultra-modern ISO 9001 environment. Our goal has always been to develop a magazine that will not jam and we succeeded by developing a caliber-specific geometry and by developing a proprietary coating that decreases the coefficient of friction and increases the lubricity which means that even if you are using the dirtiest ammunition on the planet, our magazines will not jam."

The award cited Shreve for his "important technical contributions in the development of a magazine that will overcome all elements of failure." Shreve admits that he has worked some long hours in the development of these successes but finds the work most rewarding.
