MidwayUSA Foundation Receives Donation from NE International Junior Shooting Sports

Columbia, MO - The New England International Junior Shooting Sports Inc. (NEIJSS) donated $166,500 to the MidwayUSA Foundation. This donation will benefit 18 youth shooting teams that have an active Team Endowment Account and will assist in creating a stable financial future for these teams.

Hank Garvey, President of NEIJSS, said, "NEIJSS is thankful for its long term relationship with the Potterfields and the MidwayUSA Foundation. The New England shotgun teams, in total, have over $1.5 million in their endowment accounts and it shows the dedication the Potterfields have to our New England teams and the great opportunities that lie ahead for our young athletes."

Currently, over 2,000 shooting teams have an active Team Endowment Account with the MidwayUSA Foundation and the average balance is $31,593. Each year teams can apply to draw up to 5% of their account balance to use for team expenses, such as, ammunition, range fees, targets, uniforms, travel and more. Along with donations like this one, teams can grow their Team Endowment Account through soliciting private donations, earnings, and conducting fundraisers.
