Team ITI Shooters Make 2014 World Shoot XVII

SHACKLEFORDS, VA - G4S International Training Inc. a subsidiary of G4S Government Solutions, who is committed to providing benchmark security training in Firearms, Driver Training, and Surveillance operations, is proud to announce that two members of our professional shooting team, Team ITI, have been selected to shoot for TEAM USA in the 2014 IPSC World Shoot XVII. Team members Cindi Thomas and Gary Byerly will be competing in Polk County Florida, at Universal Shooting Academy, on October 12-19, 2014.

Thomas had this to say about the match, "I am thrilled to be able to compete at the World Shoot on the Ladies Production team with Sara Dunivin, Maggie Reese and Team Captain Julie Golob! They are veterans from previous World Shoots, and they have been so helpful by sharing their expertise and training tips as well as providing insight on what to expect at the match. I am so thankful for the opportunity to represent the United States with such a fantastic group of Ladies!" She went on to say, "In preparation I have focused on the fundamentals of shooting and pushing my comfort level with harder shots at a longer distance. In a nutshell...if it is a shot or scenario I don't like...that is what I focus on in practice! Another huge factor is my Sphinx pistol. I have no backup gun, so I had to know that my gun is 100% since I already have about 35,000 rounds through it. The senior gunsmith at KRISS USA (manufacturer of the Sphinx), Charlie Martz, broke the gun down last weekend and after replacing a couple of springs and inspecting it he assured me it was in fantastic shape. Thank you Charlie and thank you KRISS USA for all of your support!"

Byerly commented, "Shooting on the same squad as my teammates Todd Jarrett, Rob Leatham and Keith Dilworth will be educational to say the least. I've got a new 1911 from Durning Defense Customs due in any day and that's what I'll be shooting at this match. As far as preparation goes, I'm expecting lots of no-shoots, hardcover and moving targets. With the amount of stages planned, I expect every aspect of my skills to be tested."
