World Fishing Journal Returns With Another All-star Episode Sunday

DENVER and TORONTO - World Fishing Network, the leading entertainment destination and digital resource for anglers throughout North America, premieres the second installment of the second season of its signature magazine format show, World Fishing Journal, with another all-star episode on Sunday, Oct. 5 starting at 11:30 a.m. ET.

World Fishing Journal brings together a roster of talented sports producers to craft engaging, story-driven features based around the angling community and fishing industry on a monthly basis. Sunday's episode delivers:

Mike Pyle, Part II : Join UFC welterweight fighter, Mike 'Quicksand' Pyle, as he takes World Fishing Journal viewers on an inside look at his training regimen before an upcoming bout. While some differences are obvious, similarities between fishing and fighting in Mike's world are front-and-center as both require preparations, patience, commitment and concentration. Viewers will be inspired as this warrior prepares for battle inside the octagon.

Willie Mitchell, Part II : NHL defenseman Willie Mitchell, who hoisted the Stanley Cup for the second time as a member of the Los Angeles Kings last spring, returns to take a look at Kuterra, British Columbia's first land-raised salmon farming enterprise. The contrast between land-raised and open-cage salmon farming is explained, as are the pros and cons of its long-term viability.

Pink Fishing: October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and World Fishing Journal is with Melanie Kito, founder of breast cancer awareness group Pink Fishing, as she and several friends celebrate her marriage aboard the famous long-range fishing vessel American Angler out of San Diego, Calif. Join Melanie and her wedding party as they go out on a two-day fishing trip to target yellowtail, white sea bass and halibut. And while the focus of the moment is fishing and fun, Melanie and friends deliver a serious message about breast cancer awareness and what Pink Fishing is doing to help.

Season Two, Episode Three of World Fishing Journal will air Sunday, Nov. 2 starting at 11:30 a.m. ET and includes features on the 28th Orvis Guide Rendezvous, the controversial Pebble Mine in Bristol Bay, Alaska and a new generation of female anglers.
