"Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt." Discusses Raising an Outdoor Child This Week

EDGEFIELD, S.C. (October 1, 2014) - "Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt." shares the name with the National Wild Turkey Federation's initiative dedicated to conserving habitat and creating new hunters. NWTF biologists and staff, as well as industry experts, discuss best practices and tips that make hunting season more enjoyable and productive, while conserving natural resources and preserving our hunting heritage.

This week on "Save the Habitat Save the Hunt," we'll talk to our experts to show you how to raise your child to love and appreciate the outdoors. There are a lot of things out there competing for a child's attention. Sometimes kids and their parents forget how rewarding it is to be outdoors and enjoy nature.

"Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt." on the Pursuit Channel airs Sundays @ 11:30 p.m. (EST), Thursday @ 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday @9:30 p.m.

The NWTF Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt. Initiative is a charge that mobilizes science, fundraising and devoted volunteers to give the NWTF more energy and purpose than ever. Through this national initiative, NWTF has committed to raising $1.2 billion to conserve and enhance more than 4 million acres of essential upland wildlife habitat, create at least 1.5 million hunters and open access to 500,000 acres for hunting, shooting and outdoor enjoyment. Without hunters, there will be no wildlife or habitat. The NWTF is determined to Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt.
"Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt." is sponsored by Mossy Oak, Benelli, Browning, Cajun Injector, Cabela's, Harrington and Richardson, Marlin, Mossberg, Remington, Weatherby and Winchester Ammunition.
