Bear OPS Expands Line of Butterfly Knives with Two New Models

Already offering a wide range of high-performance butterfly knives, Bear OPS has just added two new models, including one with an armor piercing blade.

Both have a blade made of high carbon 440 stainless steel, heat-treated to an ideal Rockwell hardness of 57-59. The blades ride on bronze phosphorus washers to create a smooth flipping action, and locked open with Bear's standard Butterfly lock. Closed and ready for fast activating, they are 5-3/8" and weigh 4.5 oz.

The Model B-410-ALCF-AP has a 3-1/4" armor-piercing tanto blade and the handles are carbon fiber coated T6 Aluminum. MSRP, $155. The Model B-401-ALOR-P Trainer is designed for new flippers who are just learning to maneuver a Butterfly knife. The 4-1/4" spear point blade has no cutting edge, and has four holes to lighten the blade to mimic the weight of a blade that is sharpened. Handles are orange coated T6 Aluminum. MSRP, $135.

As are all Bear knives, both of these new Butterfly models are made in the USA and are backed by Bear's respected Lifetime Warranty. For more about the full line of Bear & Son and Bear OPS knives, visit their web site, www.bearandsoncutlery.com.
