Online Draw Application for 2015 Arizona Spring Hunts Now Available

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The online application service is now available for the 2015 Arizona spring hunt draw for turkey, javelina, buffalo and bear. Hunters who wish to apply online for hunt permit-tags issued through the draw process for those species can do so by visiting https://az.gov/azgfd/draw/home.xhtml and scrolling down to the "Apply for a Draw" link.

The deadline for submitting draw applications is Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014 by 7 p.m. (MST).

The 2015 Arizona Spring Turkey, Javelina, Buffalo and Bear Hunt Draw Information booklet is available online at www.azgfd.gov/draw. Printed copies of the booklets are available at Game and Fish offices and license dealers statewide.

Applying online is fast and easy. The application form process will prompt you to accurately complete your form, dramatically reducing your chance of making errors that could result in a rejected application.

Only VISA and MasterCard are accepted for draw applications submitted online. No charges for the cost of the hunt permit-tag will be posted to your account unless and until you are drawn. Those applying online must still pay the non-refundable $13 application fee for Arizona residents and $15 for non-residents. This fee is charged as part of the application process for both online and paper applications. A portion of these fees are dedicated to habitat, public access and recruitment/retention efforts.

The online draw application service works with these browsers: Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari. Safari users may want to upgrade to the latest version of the OS and Safari browser because some problems have been reported with older Safari versions. This application service does not work with mobile devices such as iPad, iPhone or other Smartphones at this time.

For hunters who don't wish to use the online application service, paper draw applications may be submitted either by mail to the Arizona Game and Fish Department, Attn: Drawing Section, PO Box 74020, Phoenix, AZ 85087-1052, or they can be hand-delivered to any of the seven Game and Fish offices located in Pinetop, Flagstaff, Kingman, Yuma, Tucson, Mesa and Phoenix.

The draw deadline for all applications is 7 p.m. (MST-Arizona time) on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014. Mailed applications must be received by the department by the deadline. Postmark dates do not count.

Applicants are reminded that a valid Arizona hunting license or combination hunting/fishing license is required to enter the spring draw. You must possess a license that is valid on the last day of the application deadline for the draw, which is Oct. 14, 2014.

Licenses are now valid for one full year from the day you purchase them. If you don't have a license, you can purchase it through the draw process when you are applying for the draw, or you can purchase it separately in advance online, at Game and Fish offices, or at authorized license dealers.

For more information about the draw, visit www.azgfd.gov/draw.
