More than 1,800 Copies of "The Real Wolf" Sold in First Week

BOZEMAN, MONTANA - After many years of research, hundreds of face-to-face and telephone interviews and thousands upon thousands of miles of travel, Texas attorney and Montana landowner Ted Lyon came to the conclusion that "something had to be done about the wolves in North America. They had to be managed by people who truly understood what was going on in the field, and those people needed to be respected and supported."

That "something" was Lyon's first book, "The Real Wolf - The Science, Politics and Economics of Co-Existing with Wolves in Modern Times", which just sold more than 1,800 copies in its first week of distribution in the United States.

"I'm elated and very humbled," Lyon said when he learned how fast the book has sold. "My co-author, Will Graves and I, along with the contributors to the book are extremely happy this book is already being read by nearly 2,000 persons and sales of the book have just started."

A successful trial attorney for more than 37 years, Lyon has broken national verdict records that ranked in the Top 10 on three occasions. His approach to this book was like that of a trial attorney. In "The Real Wolf", he presents the science and facts about the re-introduction of wolves to the American West and leaves emotions at the door.

The book is being published by Farcountry Press of Helena, MT, and is available through several bookstores throughout the Rocky Mountains and through the book's website, www.therealwolf.com.
