Gerber Celebrates 75th Anniversary

Portland, Oregon - Gerber, a brand renowned worldwide for its iconic products and commitment to excellence, will celebrate its' 75th anniversary in 2014. To commemorate the milestone, Gerber will introduce a number of new products that reflect the brand's heritage at the upcoming Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT). Included is a collection of American-made folding knives, The Legend, a once in a generation hunting knife, and the 39 Series, two new knives that combine timeless style with today's modern materials and technology.

Founded in Portland, Oregon in 1939 by advertising magnate Joseph Gerber, the brand was built on the backs of relentless invention, an unyielding commitment to quality and the spirit of adventure. Rooted in innovation, craftsmanship and service to others, Gerber has grown from its humble beginnings in custom, handmade cutlery to a global force in knives, tools and activity-specific gear.
