Fresh Tracks with Randy Newberg: Big Bull Mecca in Northern Arizona

New Berlin, WI - (October 3, 2013) - On this week's Federal Premium's Fresh Tracks with Randy Newberg exclusively on Sportsman Channel, Randy travels to northern Arizona where the terrain is steep and hard to navigate to hunt monstrous elk. Using his signature hunting style of always on public land and always showing what "really" happens on a spot and stalk hunt, viewers won't want to miss the ups and downs on this chase. Take a trip to the desert this Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 8 p.m. ET/PT only on Sportsman Channel.

On this hunt, Randy brought his friend and fellow big game hunter, Lee Havemeier, and together they make their way through the rugged canyons in Arizona in pursuit of towering bulls.

On the first day, the duo traverses the woods scouting bulls and they one grazing along the opposite side of the canyon. Unfortunately they are downwind and the elk begins to leave. Not wanting to miss this opportunity, Randy rushes around the canyon to get the bull back towards Lee in hopes he can make contact.

"I don't know that I could've written a better script for that," said Newberg. "Filling my tag isn't nearly as important to me as helping others find their success."

Later in the hunt, Randy spots three bulls practically in a line walking towards the canyon lip. He attempts to take the shot, but is blocked by trees. He begins to dash across the canyon for a better shot when he hears something that stops him in his tracks.

Viewers must tune in to see if Randy gets his bull and what he heard during his pursuit on Federal Premium's Fresh Tracks with Randy Newberg this Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
