Successful Hunt for Jim Shockey Dream Hunt Winners

This year's winners of the HUNTERcourse.com Jim Shockey Dream Hunt came back with great trophies, and even better memories, from their early January hunt at the Nail Ranch in Albany, Texas.

Lora-Ann McMillan, a 21-year old student and recent www.huntercourse.com
Graduate from St. Cloud, Florida, and Douglas Brooks, a hunter education instructor also from St. Cloud, were the 2012 winners of the annual contest. Lora-Ann and Douglas were both successful in harvesting a buck and a hog over their 3-day hunt on Nail Ranch's beautiful 30,000-acre property.

For Lora-Ann, it was her first ever buck, and she had the chance to take the animal while hunting with Eva Shockey. "I love hunting," said Lora-Ann, "and having the chance to spend three days hunting with pros like Jim and Eva has been an experience that I'll remember for a long time." She took her hog while out on the stalk with Jim Shockey.

Days at the Nail Ranch started before the sun came up with a hearty breakfast and ended just after sunset with more great food and conversation. The food, hospitality and hunting expertise delivered by the Nail Ranch staff, its owner Craig Winters and his guides Tim and Bryan, made for a winning experience.

"I always love spending time with Craig Winters and the folks at the Nail Ranch," said Jim Shockey, professional hunter and spokesman for HUNTERcourse.com. "Getting to share a hunt with a new hunter education graduate and her instructor just makes it all the more special."

The 2013 HUNTERcourse.com Jim Shockey Dream Hunt is now open. All students who successfully pass their online hunter education course at www.huntercourse.com are automatically entered to win. The instructor who teaches the winning student's field day also gets to come along for the hunt.
