Bear & Son Cutlery To Announce New Products at SHOT Show

Las Vegas - Bear & Son Cutlery will unveil a wide range of new knife products at the 2013 SHOT Show, including several from their Bear OPS Tactical Division.

The Bear OPS tactical knives are headed by the new Model MC-300-B4-S Stiletto Sideliner lock. The 3-1/4" satin finish dagger blade, which opens easily with one hand, is made of premium CPM-S30V stainless steel for superior edge retention, and corrosion- and rust-resistance.

This new Stiletto liner lock has smooth, contoured G10 handles, with an anodized black aluminum frame. G10 is unmatched for its toughness, light weight and insulating qualities in extreme hot and cold conditions. MSRP, $140.

New Neck Knife
For those who prefer the convenience of a neck knife, Bear OPS has created a new series including the CC-400-B. It has a 2-7/8" blade made of 1095 carbon steel with a black epoxy coating. Overall, it is

6-1/4" long in a Kydex® sheath, and with neck chain. MSRP, $60.

There will be additional knives in this Neck Knife Series.

Damascus Blades
Known for their high definition Damascus steel, made in their Alabama plant, Bear is introducing a new Bold Action automatic with push button opening. The Model AC-100-CB2-LD has a 3-inch modified drop-point blade made of 416-layer Damascus. The 4-1/8" handle is an interesting checkered Cocobola wood with a pocket clip. MSRP, $300.

Bear & Son 4th Generation Series

There are four additions to the popular 4th Generation Series, featuring high-polished 1095 carbon steel blades. These new classic models have distinctive Heritage Walnut handles with the 4th Generation shield embedded.

The four models are the 3-3/4-inch C205 lockback; the 4-inch C247 three-bladed Stockman; the 3-1/2-inch C2281 Barlow with two blades; and the 3" C254 1/2 Trapper with two blades. MSRPs range from $44.99 to $52.50.

Exotic Desert Iron Wood Handles
Bear & Son also will introduce their new Kodiak Series - eight new knives with Exotic Desert Iron Wood handles. This is a strong, beautiful wood always sought after by custom knifemakers and collectors, embedded with Bear & Son shields. The blades are polished 440 Stainless Steel.

Among the models available are: the K205E, a 3-3/4-inch lockback; the K218E, a 3-1/4-inch Stockman with three blades; and the K254E, 4-1/8-inch Trapper with two blades. MSRPs, from $68.99 to $73.99.

Tactical/Traditional
In a departure from the usual, some of the most traditional patterns have been converted to tactical knives with new high-tech G10 handles in black. Among these new hybrids are the 4-1/8-inch G54 Trapper with two blades and the 3-1/2-inch G37 Farmhand, both with 440 Stainless Steel blades. MSRPs, $31.99 to $64.99.

Executive Letter Openers
For those tired of ripping open their mail, Bear & Son will introduce three new 7-inch Executive Letter Openers. They let you do the job quickly and efficiently with a good looking tool. The Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel blade makes any executive want one. The handles are Exotic Desert Iron Wood, Genuine Abalone and Genuine India Stag Bone. They come with a leather desk sheath. MSRP, $90.
