The Bear Whisperer Sophomore Season Starts on Sportsman Channel

Benton, ME - (March 28th 2012) - The Bear Whisperer is back to show viewers why bears are one of the most misunderstood big game animals in North America. The Bear Whisperer with Blaine Anthony is going to finish his yearlong journey that concluded last year with the relocation of a family of bear that invaded a campground during the summer. This season starts this year in the fall and goes over bear vocalizations, baiting secrets, the long awaited junkyard bear and when bears attack. Catch The Bear Whisperer Thursday, March 29th at 6:00 p.m. EST.

Host Blaine Anthony is a familiar face to Sportsman Channel viewers with his current show, North American Safari. "I have been hunting bears for 20 years and words can't describe how excited I am about this new series," said Anthony. "Viewers will get much more than just bear hunting. I'm also going to focus on conservation efforts, including bear vocalization, baiting techniques, rare bear attacks, trying to re-open a junk yard that bears have invaded and enter bear dens in the winter with a team of biologists."

The Bear Whisperer takes on the look and feel of a "mini-series" style show. The show takes a chronological journey through an entire "bear" year, starting in the spring. "Viewers will come away with a greater understanding of the world of bears and bear hunting," said Anthony.

The 13-week season escalates to an episode on bear attacks that will educate viewers as to why bears attack. It will include captivating video of multiple bear attacks as well as stories from survivors.

Blaine Anthony was a registered bear-hunting guide for 12 years with hundreds of successful hunts to his credit. Anthony has accumulated over 70 successful bear harvests of his own in his hunting career. He has an uncanny ability to track, locate, and understand bear behavior.
