Movie Night at Cache River Wetlands

Grab your family and friends for a relaxing evening with your fellow nature lovers. Movies about nature will provide viewers of all ages with a fun and exciting way to learn about the outside world. Our AmeriCorps staff will hold a short discussion about the movie after each session. This year we will be featuring films about creatures that are often thought of as creepy, but are generally misunderstood and underappreciated. These creatures all play an important role in our ecosystems; both on the Cache River watershed and around the world. So don't miss this month's film, Webs of Intrigue, which will introduce you into the curious world of spiders. The spiders and their webs are an ever-fascinating subject for those curious about nature, always providing a visual treat. Not all spiders weave the most familiar kind of web, which can catch houseflies and gnats. Some spin webs large enough to catch small birds, while others go fishing -- diving into the water to catch their prey. Join us to learn more about these creepy critters of the Cache, and why they are so important to us. For more information, call (618) 657-2064.
