The DRT bullet is encased in a copper jacket that opens when the bullet strikes fluid, exposing the bullet core, which disperses on penetration to create a massive wound cavity. Centrifugal force built up on the backside of the bullet triggers fragmentation as the bullet is halted by soft tissue. The DRT core, which is protected by 29 patents, is compressed, not bonded or sintered like other frangible bullets on the market.
