Sportsman Channel and Safari Club Launch Second Annual HUNT.FISH.FEED Tour

New York, New York- Sportsman Channel's Hunt.Fish.Feed.SM initiative, a partnership with Safari Club International, announced the start of its 2010 national tour with its second annual event in Las Vegas on Tuesday, January 19 at 4:30pm at the Shade Tree Shelter's West Owens Avenue location. The Hunt.Fish.Feed.SM initiative is a unique outreach program that taps a new food source-game meat and fish donated by sportsmen-to feed those struggling with hunger across America.

Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons and Las Vegas Mayor Oscar B. Goodman will be present to officially kick-off Hunt.Fish.Feed.SM. "I'm very pleased that Sportsman Channel is bringing the successful Hunt.Fish.Feed.SM program back to Las Vegas," said Mayor Goodman. "The city of Las Vegas has worked very hard to help people escape the cycle of homelessness, and this program is another resource our care providers can use."

For the second year in a row, Hunt.Fish.Feed.SM will join forces with the Shade Tree Shelter to help feed members of the Las Vegas community. The event will utilize elk meat to make a tasty and nutritious chili. The meat will be donated by local hunters from the region in cooperation with Sportsman Channel and Safari Club International Foundation's Sportsmen Against HungerTM.

"We're thrilled to partner again with the Las Vegas community and the Shade Tree Shelter for a Hunt.Fish.Feed.SM event, a program that in its first year provided thousands of the nation's hungry with nutrient-rich meals," said Todd Hansen, Chief Marketing Officer of Sportsman Channel. "Mayor Goodman, the City, and Shade Tree are working very hard for their community members in need, and we are pleased to help their ongoing efforts."

"The challenge to meet the needs of women and children demands teamwork and innovation," said Marlene Richter, executive director of the Shade Tree. "This program attempts to meet the challenge by combining the generosity of sportsmen with the volunteers that will prepare and serve the meal. The compassion and kindness of Hunt.Fish.Feed Las Vegas will impact everyone in crisis."

The Las Vegas event is the first of a multi-city Hunt.Fish.Feed.SM tour, which will travel to 10 U.S. cities to feed the needy and bring awareness to the fight against hunger. "Thanks to caring sportsmen and sportswomen, millions of meals are served annually each year to those in need across the country, and we are excited to again partner with Sportsman Channel for their Hunt.Fish.Feed. Tour," said Safari Club International Foundation President Larry Rudolph. "Whether it involves feeding millions of hungry each year, offering free healthcare and supplies to impoverished communities, or introducing children to the wonders of wildlife, SCIF is committed to its charitable tenet of giving," continued Rudolph.

"In today's economy, many shelters and food banks across America are experiencing an increase in need while their food supplies decrease. We are proud to continue our partnership with SCIF to bring Hunt.Fish.Feed to our nation's needy, especially at this time when even more are in need," said Jeff Paro, CEO of InterMedia Outdoors, parent company of Sportsman Channel. "We are so pleased to help the worthy citizens of Las Vegas and support this community."
