Indiana: channel catfish to be stocked in Dobbs Park Pond

Dobbs Park Pond in Terre Haute is receiving 200 channel catfish as part of DNR’s Go FishIN in the City program.

The catfish are part of an ongoing stocking effort at Dobbs Park. The pond received catfish earlier in April, and a final stocking is set to take place in June for a total of 500 catfish stocked in the pond.

The fish will come from Cikana State Fish Hatchery in Martinsville. These channel catfish are expected to weigh an average of 1.3 pounds and measure up to 18 inches in length.

Dobbs Park Pond is at 5170 East Poplar Street on the east side of Terre Haute.

Go FishIN in the City (wildlife.IN.gov/7508.htm) is dedicated to bringing anglers and fish together during peak fishing season.
