Whitetails Unlimited Continues Support of National 4-H Shooting Sports

Whitetails Unlimited recently provided a $5,000 grant to the National 4-H Shooting Sports Program. This brings the total WTU has granted to 4-H to more than $750,000. The program will be holding their National Championship tournament June 23-28 in Grand Island, Nebraska. WTU has supported the 4-H Shooting Sports Program nationwide for more than 27 years. In addition to the national championships, WTU has also contributed to the 4-H Shooting Sports Instructor’s Workshops. The workshops educate instructors on how to certify 4-H coaches in their state.

The 4-H Shooting Sports Program offers a wide variety of disciplines including rifle, shotgun, pistol, muzzleloader, and archery. It is estimated that the program has reached more than 475,000 youth in 47 states. Over 3 million individuals have been introduced to hunting and shooting sports through the National 4-H Shooting Sports Program. The championships anticipate close to 1,000 youth and instructors in Nebraska this month.

“It’s incredible how many hunters 4-H has affected through their shooting sports program,” says Whitetails Unlimited Program Services Director Russ Austad.
