The Dunbar family has acquired Hofmann’s Lures Incorporated – a brand that has been in the fishing lure industry since 1952. Hofmann’s Lures Inc was formed in Lakeview OH by the Hofmann family. A majority of Jack Hofmann’s designs are still being produced today.
Hofmann’s Lures Inc. is now operated out of Greenville, PA. This includes all product development, manufacturing, marketing and purchasing functions.
“We definitely see an opportunity to grow the rich history of Hofmann’s Lures,” said Dave Dunbar, president and owner of Hofmann’s Lures Inc. “It is important to us to keep the legacy of Jack Hofmann alive by using the same manufacturing process and hand assembly of our lures as he did in the beginning. Our attention to detail and craftsmanship ensures each lure is of the highest quality.” All of the Hofmann’s spoons are pressed and assembled at the Greenville facility.
In addition to maintaining the integrity of the current product line, the Dunbars have plans to scale the brand by adding an additional line of freshwater “Cougar Claw®” and saltwater products in spring and summer of 2019.
