Waypoint TV & Cabela Family Foundation Partner to Premiere ‘Hard Truths of Conservation’ on the Waypoint Platform

Waypoint TV, the destination for outdoor entertainment, and the Cabela Family Foundation (CFF), dedicated to advancing outdoor recreation, conservation and charitable endeavors, are proud to announce a strategic partnership bringing the acclaimed documentary-series Hard Truths of Conservation to Waypoint TV. The collaboration spotlights bold storytelling on wildlife management, sustainable use and the people at the frontlines of conservation.

A timely collaboration

Hard Truths of Conservation is a branded-series initiative of the Cabela Family Foundation. The series describes its mission of exposing the “hard truths” about wildlife conservation and challenging conventional narratives. With Waypoint TV’s free, ad-supported streaming channel and wide OTT distribution, the series will now reach millions of outdoor-enthusiasts across the U.S.

“The goal for Hard Truths has always been to educate and tell the story of real conservation to as many people as possible,” said Dan Cabela, Host of Hard Truths of Conservation and Executive Director of the Cabela Family Foundation. “Bringing Hard Truths of Conservation to Waypoint TV allows us to reach a broad audience of people who care about the outdoors—and spark meaningful dialogue about what it takes to responsibly conserve wildlife and wild places today.”

Builder Brock, CEO and Co-founder: “Our mission at Waypoint is to provide access to the outdoors through extraordinary storytelling. Partnering with the Cabela Family Foundation and showcasing Hard Truths of Conservation amplifies voices and issues that matter, and aligns perfectly with our commitment to content that educates, inspires and entertains.”

What to expect & key highlights

  • The series presents real-world conservation challenges: population decline, hunting & wildlife management, habitat restoration, human-wildlife conflict, and community engagement.
  • Viewers will meet the people and institutions making tough decisions on behalf of animals and ecosystems, sometimes in places few have seen.
  • Through this partnership, Waypoint TV will stream episodes of Hard Truths of Conservation, along with accompanying bonus content, including behind-the-scenes interviews, extended Q&A segments and educational resources.
  • Premiering on November 18th at 8:30PM; Waypoint TV subscribers can expect seamless access across all connected devices, free of charge.

Why this matters

In an era of increasing polarization around conservation issues, authentic narratives—grounded in fieldwork, science and lived experience, are critical. The Cabela Family Foundation has long championed projects that promote outdoor recreation and conservation globally. Waypoint TV continues expanding its reach as a leading streaming channel for outdoor adventure and education. Together, this partnership opens new doors for public awareness, engagement and action in conservation.
