Montana Wildlife Federation hires Marks as North-Central and Eastern Montana Field Representative

The Montana Wildlife Federation (MWF) announced it has hired Morgan Marks as its North-Central and Eastern Montana Field Representative to cover key wildlife, habitat and access issues throughout the central and eastern part of the state.

“I’m eager to get to work on conservation projects throughout eastern Montana that collaborate with landowners, sporting groups, conservation interests and agency partners to improve habitat, benefit wildlife and broaden sporting opportunities for all people,” Marks said. “MWF has been a partner with landowners ever since it was formed over eight decades ago to restore and conserve wildlife, and we’re looking to build on that and expand the work in the coming years.”

Morgan grew up in Pennsylvania, and thanks to Montana Conservation Corps moved to Montana to serve on a trail crew in 2008. She has been calling Montana home ever since, with the exception of a few stints living abroad in Australia when she served as a Rotary International Peace Fellow studying conflict and peace, and Zambia when she served with the United States Peace Corps promoting aquaculture in the eastern part of the country. Morgan is an avid angler and she's a hunter. Conservation work, localized peacebuilding, and conflict resolution are passions of hers. Creating safe space for connections to be fostered and strengthened, and for dialogue to be shared between people is her goal. Before joining MWF, Morgan worked in the non-profit sector, the private sector, and with Montana state government.

“Morgan brings a breadth of experience in grassroots organizing, outreach and collaborative problem solving that makes her perfectly suited to engage in the on-the-ground work we will be focusing on throughout the prairies of eastern Montana,” said Frank Szollosi, MWF Executive Director. “She has previously worked throughout the region, and Morgan is excited to put that experience to work to achieve conservation outcomes that benefit wildlife, landowners and public hunters and recreational users.”
