Project ChildSafe Recognizes Miles Hall as S.A.F.E. Summer Champion

Project ChildSafe, a firearms safety education program of the National Shooting Sports Foundation focused on promoting responsible storage of firearms when they are not in use,  has recognized Miles Hall as Oklahoma City’s S.A.F.E. Summer “Local Champion” for his lifelong efforts in raising awareness and promoting firearms safety and education.

Hall has been involved with Project ChildSafe in Oklahoma City since the initial launch in January 2017 and has been an active advocate of Project ChildSafe for many years prior. As the former owner of one of the top gun ranges in the country, Hall and his wife have actively distributed firearms safety locks and recruited local supporters in the area. In 2018, Hall also partnered with the local law enforcement and distributed over 200 gun locks. He even played a key role in getting local retailers and schools involved in distributing gun lock kits in Oklahoma City.

Hall’s recognition as a “Local Champion” comes as Project ChildSafe continues its sixth annual “S.A.F.E. Summer” campaign, focused on emphasizing the importance of storing firearms responsibly when not in use, especially during the summer months when children are home from school and more likely to be unsupervised. S.A.F.E. serves as an acronym for Store your firearms responsibly when not in use; Always practice firearms safety; Focus on your responsibilities as a firearms owner; and Education is key to preventing accidents.

Hall is a fitting example of someone who lives and breathes firearms safety and helps advocate the importance for all gun owners to “Own It? Respect It. Secure It.”
