Hit IMAX Film Wings Over Water Now Airing Internationally

August 8 — Dorsey Pictures announces the hit IMAX and giant screen film Wings Over Water continues to expand into new theaters and is now airing internationally in Edmonton, Canada, Salmiya, Kuwait and Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The stunning IMAX movie, narrated by actor Michael Keaton, is already playing in New York, Denver, Boston, Austin, Galveston, St Louis, Orlando, Omaha, Pittsburgh, Birmingham, Fort Lauderdale, Peoria and Chattanooga and is scheduled to add San Jose, Salt Lake City, Hutchinson and Hastings to the roster of domestic theaters.

Wings Over Water is a joint venture with The Max McGraw Wildlife Foundation, which works to secure the future of hunting, fishing and land management through programs of science, education, demonstration and communication, The National Audubon Society, the world’s oldest non-profit environmental organization dedicated to conservation of birds and their habitat; and Ducks Unlimited, the world's largest nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving North America's continually disappearing waterfowl habitats.

The IMAX film celebrates and promotes the preservation of the prairie wetlands and the birds that live and breed there. The Prairie Pothole Region is critical breeding and nesting habitat for the birds of North America – over 60 percent of America’s ducks are hatched there, as well as hundreds of other shore and song birds. Wings Over Water immerses the reader into one of earth’s most important ecosystems, following the breeding and migrations of sandhill cranes, mallards, and yellow warblers from their southern wintering grounds back to the prairie wetlands to nest and raise the next generation of the species.
