Indiana: parts of Fairfax SRA to close for archery tourney

Parts of Fairfax State Recreation Area will be closed to the public from June 13-17, for preparation, hosting and cleanup of the second leg of the International Bowhunting Organization’s (IBO) Triple Crown archery competition.

For safety reasons, the competition area on the west side of the property will be closed to the public during those dates. The area west of the park road inside Fairfax SRA, including the hiking trail, will also be closed.

The Fourwinds Resort and Marina, and the boat ramps will remain open throughout the listed dates. The vendor area in the beach parking lot will also be open. Due to continued high water, the swimming beach is currently closed.

The archery competition will be held June 14-16. For more information, refer to the IBO’s website at ibo.net.
