The Oregon Hunters Association has a newly created role for an experienced Executive Director to join their statewide organization. With OHA focused on advancing hunting opportunities, wildlife conservation, and habitat preservation throughout Oregon, this position offers exceptional career advancement opportunities in conservation leadership.

Position Highlights

The Oregon Hunters Association is seeking an Executive Director focused on:

  • Strategic Leadership & Vision: Developing and executing OHA's strategic plan while serving as primary spokesperson and face of the organization
  • Fundraising and Development: Building an effective fundraising engine, including corporate partnerships, grant writing, and major gift campaigns
  • Chapter Relations & Unity Building: Fostering unity among 26 chapters and facilitating effective communication between state and chapter leadership

Ideal Candidates

We are particularly interested in professionals with nonprofit leadership experience from conservation organizations, outdoor recreation companies, and chapter-based membership organizations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in wildlife management, natural resources, public administration, business administration, or related field
  • Minimum 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience with demonstrated ability to lead organizational change
  • 3-5 years of executive-level experience, preferably including nonprofit experience
  • Authentic passion for hunting heritage and wildlife conservation (non-negotiable)
  • Strong fundraising expertise with proven track record in donor cultivation
  • This role is based in Oregon. Relocation assistance is available. Oregon residents are encouraged to apply.
