Benelli 828U Sport Makes Debut at NRA

ACCOKEEK, Md. - Clay competition shooters attending the 2019 NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits can see the new face of competition with the Benelli 828U Sport. Exclusively designed for Sporting and Compak shooting, the 828U Sport over-and-under shotgun is designed and built with sporting DNA.

NRA Show attendees can stop by the Benelli booth (No. 6648) to get first-hand experience with the 828U Sport. An enhanced version of its first over-and-under shotgun, the 828U Sport features improved ergonomics and must-have features for the serious clays shooter. Built around a steel receiver for additional weight, the 12 gauge shotgun's improved grip angle and comb height work in conjunction with the wider carbon fiber rib and sight channel to deliver a sporting shotgun that points fast and swings smooth.

The Progressive Balancing system of the 828U Sport provides perfect balance of the shotgun's center of gravity while the including shims deliver 40 different combinations of drop and cast for a fully customized fit for individual shooters. Reliability is a must during competition and the 828U Sport's revolutionary Lock Plate closing system eliminates mechanical stress at the break action. The removable trigger group features an improved pull weight and an adjustable trigger position (length).

The 30-inch, anti-glare matte-finish barrel is solder free and topped with a channeled raised rib and white front bead to keep the shooter focused on target. The satin finished stock and forend are built from AA walnut. In addition to the five chokes, the 828U Sport comes with drop and cast shims, weights, trigger tool, choke wrench, oil and owner's manual. Each gun is packed in a plastic case with a separate case for chokes.
