Scholastic 3-D Archery Supports Tree Stand Safety Awareness Month

Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA) proudly announces its support of Tree Stand Safety Awareness Month in partnership with the Tree Stand Safety Awareness Foundation (TSSA). Established to raise awareness and reduce tree stand incidents, Tree Stand Safety Awareness Month takes place throughout September.

“In our sport, safety is always the top priority,” said Patty Reel, S3DA National Conservation Coordinator. “We’re excited to partner with TSSA to help our youth members learn critical tree stand and saddle safety practices before heading into the woods.”

This September, S3DA youth members will have the opportunity to take an educational quiz on tree stand and saddle safety, testing their knowledge on best practices and safe hunting habits. Participants will also be entered for a chance to win prizes courtesy of TSSA, including a Hunter Safety System Harness and Lifeline, Muddy Trail Camera, and Realtree EZ Hanger Combo Set. Three lucky winners will be drawn at the end of the month.

The TSSA promotes four building blocks of tree stand safety, known as the ABCs, to help hunters remain safe while in elevated stands. S3DA encourages all youth members, regardless of experience, to review these critical safety tips.

About Scholastic 3-D Archery

Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA) is a unique, family-oriented youth archery program which has grown exponentially across the United States as a next-step initiative to follow introductory archery programs. The mission of the Scholastic 3-D Archery program is to foster, educate and guide youth in the areas of 3D, indoor target, and outdoor target archery as well as safe, ethical bowhunting practices. The goal of the S3DA program is to provide archery and bowhunting opportunities to youth in after-school settings, as well as with archery-affiliated clubs and businesses in the community. S3DA youth participate in 3D and target archery using compound and traditional archery equipment. Youth members can participate at regional, state and national archery events and earn college scholarships from colleges and universities across the United States. S3DA addresses the need for a program to bridge beginning target archery experience and more advanced activities such as 3D shooting and bowhunting. The program currently operates across the United States with hundreds of certified coaches serving thousands of youth archers.
