DENVER (August 1, 2022) – The idea of a “pure” hunt is portrayed in the series Pure Hunting on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on Sportsman Channel. Host Willi Schmidt and friends hunt the way most hunters across the U.S. do – as everyday weekend warriors. Schmidt enjoys showing these “pure hunting” opportunities do exist for those willing to put forth a little more effort. It’s about the adventure, camaraderie and authentically telling the whole story of the hunt, as it happens, good or bad. That is Pure Hunting.

Schmidt has been a passionate outdoorsman his entire life. After a corporate banking career of 14 years, he had an opportunity to co-host and guest host a variety of outdoor television shows before starting Pure Hunting in 2010. Pure Hunting is a series portraying the hunting heritage, showcasing everything about the hunt and not focusing on the kill.
