Join us for the next Herd & Hunter: Bovine TB Connections meeting Tuesday, April 30, from 6 to 8 p.m.

To ensure you have the latest information on bovine tuberculosis in Michigan, the meeting will include updates from the following speakers:

• Pete Davidson, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
  • Information on bovine tuberculosis in humans.
• Emily Sewell, Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
  • Results from bovine tuberculosis and chronic wasting disease surveillance in 2023.
• Dr. Mike VanderKlok, Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
  • Recent developments in the cattle bovine TB program.

In addition to these updates, the meeting will feature a presentation by Dr. Rique Campa with Michigan State University and Dr. Kurt VerCauteren with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Wildlife Research Center, sharing preliminary data from the field trial of bovine TB vaccination in free-ranging deer in the northeastern Lower Peninsula.
