An update on white-nose syndrome in bats, a presentation about the state's parks and trails systems, and recognition for the efforts of former commissioner J.R. Richardson, Michigan United Conservation Clubs Upper Peninsula staff and former Michigan State Parks Advisory Committee member Jim Hendricks are some of the agenda items for the next meeting of the Michigan Natural Resources Commission Thursday, Sept. 12. The commission takes the meeting to the central U.P. this month, gathering at the Northern Michigan University Ballroom, 1401 Presque Isle Ave., in Marquette.

• 12:30 p.m., NRC Committee of the Whole.
