The Milltown State Park Confluence Area will continue be closed to vehicles until the spring while BNSF Railway Company (BNSF) repairs the downstream railroad bridge.

The road to the Milltown Confluence Area is impacted by the BNSF construction work, blocking access to the main parking lot and prompting the temporary closure to vehicles. Public access to the area is walk-in only through the overflow parking on Juniper Road.

The original construction timeline called for work to be completed this fall, but additional time is needed. FWP expects to open the gate to the Confluence Area parking lot in time for the spring season. Restroom facilities at all Milltown State Park locations are also seasonally closed for the fall and winter.
