Data Analyst - Customer Database Marketing

We are a B2B as well as B2C with Natchez Shooters Supplies. Our Ecommerce and Marketing team work closely together to continuously improve our CX. We have a 10-acre distribution facility with over 45K skus and 350+ brands such as GLOCK, Leupold, Federal, Eureka, HUK, and RCBS. We offer a casual environment with a walking trail, pond, outdoor areas as well as company events such as free food Friday once a month. This month we will have an ice cream social as well as “Bring Your Dog to Work Day.”
Summary
Chattanooga TN online retailer seeks a Data Analyst to serve as strategic thought partner to Marketing, E-Commerce and Merchandising by providing analytics, performance reporting and strategic insights to inform marketing and customer experience planning and achieve business growth and profitability goals.
Key Responsibilities
· Supports development and implementation of test design and direct marketing campaigns, including audience selection and circulation planning.
· Conducts financial/profitability impact analysis of marketing programs and the forecasting of marketing initiatives.
· Manages campaign and promotions execution, including set up, data management, performance tracking, evaluation of initiatives against established KPIs, and the reporting of actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
· Develops routine reporting templates and manages automated reporting to deliver timely insights for leadership decision making.
· Supports the marketing budgeting process, including planning, tracking, reconciliation and reporting.
· Evaluates and recommends improvements for business processes and data management across departments and third parties.
· Ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed by marketing, e-commerce and merchandising.
· Maintains a deep understanding of competitive retail environment, deriving insights, innovation, trends and opportunities for competitive advantage.
· Guides requirements development for customer experience improvements and automated marketing execution by leveraging understanding of operational and business processes and use of quantitative data analytics.
Capabilities
· Demonstrated experience with scripting languages and statistical software, including SQL, SAS, SPSS.
· Strong analytical skills, including financial analysis.
· Comfortable working with various data structures, specifically accessing centralized customer data and learning new tools as needed.
· Proficiency in Excel and Tableau.
· Working knowledge in Power Point and other data presentation tools.
· Excellent planning and organizational skills.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information simply and clearly.
· Develops strong relationships and works collaboratively across the organization, specifically with marketing, merchandising, e-comm and IT.
· Able to work independently – a self-starter with a conscious attention to quality control and meeting deadlines.
Requirements
· BA/BS in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or other related quantitative discipline.
· 3+ years of proven impact within the retail sector in customer data analytics, database marketing and developing statistical targeting models.
· Experience in interactive media analytics (email, mobile, web) a plus.
· Excellent problem solving skills and ability to think outside the box
· Proven project management skills with ability to independently manage projects and deadlines
· Good presentation skills
