AMARILLO, TX – Imported exclusively by the Italian Firearms Group, the Defiant Limited Pro is a high-quality competition pistol soon to be helping shooters visit the winner’s table in 2019 and beyond. Produced by FT Italia, the Defiant Limited Pro was recently re-introduced to the U.S. shooting, with one change.
Now, the Limited Pro can be had in Large and Small framed models.
A Double/Single Action pistol, the Limited Pro is designed specifically to meet the requirements of the I.P.S.C Production Class. This semi-automatic features a hard chrome finish, a squared trigger guard, checkering on the front and back of the frame for increased grip, and polygonal rifling for greater accuracy. The large slide serrations make racking and unloading very easy.
The basic design the Defiant Limited Pro is derived from the CZ 75 pistol, the Czech semi-automatic that’s spawned an estimated one million offspring. Mechanically, one important facet of the CZ 75 design is its internal slide rails. The CZ 75 slide rides on cuts inside the frame, unlike most semi-autos—including 1911’s—where the pistol’s slide rides outside of the frame.
The result of the internal slides is a reliable workhorse system that keeps out dirt and debris better than external slides—very important during hot, dusty competitions.
The Limited Pro’s Custom Magazine Release is easily reversed by the user. Walnut checkered grips, a fully adjustable rear Supersight and interchangeable front sight, and a custom safety are standard features. The pistol is available in 9MM, .38 Super, .40 S&W, 10MM and .45 ACP.
