SCWA Partners with Rather Outdoors as Official Fishing Gear and Tackle Provider

The South Carolina Waterfowl Association (SCWA) has announced a new corporate partnership with Rather Outdoors, naming the company the Official Fishing Gear and Tackle Provider of SCWA. The partnership will support SCWA’s youth education initiatives, including Camp Woodie and Outdoor Heritage Events.

Fishing remains a key component of SCWA’s mission to connect young people with the outdoors. With the support of Rather Outdoors and its family of leading brands, such as Lew’s, Zebco and Strike King, SCWA will enhance its fishing education programs with quality equipment and hands-on instruction.

“This partnership allows us to provide better tools and resources for youth who may be learning to fish or honing their abilities through our conservation education programs,” said David Wielicki, CEO of SCWA. “Rather Outdoors is helping us introduce thousands of young people to outdoor recreation in a meaningful and responsible way.”

“We are excited about the opportunity to partner with the South Carolina Waterfowl Association. Their deep commitment to enhancing wildlife heritage through education and conservation aligns with our values here at Rather Outdoors. The future of our natural resources depends on educating the next generation of conservationists,” said Paul Bourcq, Sr. Director of Marketing at Rather Outdoors.

As part of the agreement, Rather Outdoors will contribute fishing rods, reels, and tackle used in educational programming at SCWA’s Wildlife Education Center, a 1,343-acre campus that hosts thousands of youth each year.

Rather Outdoors joins a growing list of SCWA corporate partners investing in the future of wildlife conservation through education and community outreach.
