Paddlers’ Paradise at Summit Lake SP

Learn to paddle canoes, kayaks and paddleboards during Paddlers’ Paradise at Summit Lake State Park,Aug. 18 and 19.

Visitors can rent any of the three boat types on Saturday, Aug. 18, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Instructors will be on hand to assist.

At 2 p.m., there will be a boat craft at the beach. Later, paddlers can practice their new skills with an hour-long paddle at 8 p.m. near the boat rental. The Indiana Kayakers will lead the group around the lake.

On Sunday, Aug. 19, paddlers can participate in an hour-long morning paddle at 6:30 a.m. Leaving from the boat rental, participants will experience sunrise views as they paddle across the lake.

Participation is free after the standard gate fee of $7 per in-state vehicle and $9 per out-of-state vehicle.
