We had a dream of owning a piece of African Bushveld with plains game and big 5 species. Something beautiful to conserve for future generations. So, we bought a ranch in South Africa in 2002 and called it Re a Lora after the Tswana term for “our dream”. Following the success of the hunting conservation story in South Africa, we decided to expand to Mozambique in 2016.

The area called Monte Mozale in Niassa Province was obtained as a privately-owned reserve with the aim of conservation through controlled hunting. No hunting has taken place here in more than 15 years except for our one-year research program to analyze the number of game traveling through the reserve. During this pilot we had a 100% success rate on leopards taken and an abundance of plains game and buffalo were observed. Come and experience the dark continent in all its glory.
