Knoxville, TN – The famous Bassmaster Classic fishing tournament is set to take place on the Tennessee River in Knoxville, TN this year from Friday, March 24 to Sunday, March 26. This year's event promises to be one of the most exciting fishing tournaments yet, with a strong lineup of skilled anglers from all over the country vying for the coveted Bassmaster Classic title.
Among the total 55 anglers competing for the $300,000 are six Mossy Oak Fishing anglers: Brandon Lester, Drew Benton, Gerald Swindle, Brandon Cobb, Greg Hackney, and newest team member, Lee Livesay. Livesay is an impressive and proud addition to the Mossy Oak Fishing team. In three years, Lee has already claimed two Elite Series victories, the Guaranteed Rate Bassmaster Elite at Chickamauga Lake (2020) and the Guaranteed Rate Bassmaster Elite at Lake Fork (2021), where his final-day catch of five bass weighing 42-3 was the third-heaviest, single-day weight in B.A.S.S. history.
The Bassmaster Classic is a prestigious three-day tournament that brings together the best anglers in the world to compete in and vy for the title of Bassmaster Classic Champion. Jason Christie won last year with a total weight of 54 pounds even, and the last time the tournament was held in Knoxville, Mossy Oak’s own Ott Defoe took home the champion title.
