Derya Arms Seeks Experienced CNC Programmer

Derya Arms, a leading manufacturer of tactical firearms and accessories, announced it is recruiting an experienced CNC Programmer to support its growing manufacturing operations in Jacksonville. As Derya Arms continues to expand its U.S.-based production, the CNC Programmer role is critical for programming and operating advanced machinery to produce high-precision components. The ideal candidate will be proficient in writing new programs and modifying existing ones, ensuring efficient and accurate manufacturing processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models to create or adjust CNC programs.
  • Inputting product designs into computer modeling software, such as Solidworks CAM.
  • Selecting and loading appropriate cutting tools, adjusting machine settings for optimal speeds, feeds, and dimensions.
  • Operating and maintaining equipment, including the Hyundai Lathe with Fanuc control and Akira Seiki Vertical Mill with M80 Control.
  • Troubleshooting issues during production, performing quality control inspections on parts during and after manufacturing.
  • Loading raw materials, cleaning and maintaining machines, and potentially training team members on procedures.

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Programmer, with strong skills in program development and modification.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer modeling software, particularly Solidworks CAM.
  • Ability to read and interpret design blueprints with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Capability to work independently, meet deadlines, stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and be available for after-hours work as needed.
