Whitetails Unlimited recently awarded a $5,000 grant to the National Archery in the Schools Program in support of their 2019 3D Scholarship. That brings the total WTU granted to NASP this past fiscal year to more than $120,000. Whitetails Unlimited has been a charter sponsor of the 3D Challenge since its inception in 2014. The NASP/IBO 3D Challenge entertained 6,026 shooters. Looking ahead, additional states are considering IBO when it comes to conducting their state’s 3D Challenge.
NASP is an in-school program aimed at improving educational performance among students in grades 4-12. With this program students are learning focus, self-control, discipline, patience, and the life lessons required to be successful in the classroom and in life.
“NASP has done a fantastic job getting youth involved in the sport of archery,” says Program Services Director Russ Austad. “They have also done a fabulous job in transitioning those young archers into young hunters.”
