Kalashnikov USA Seeks VP - Sales & Marketing

Pompano Beach, FL

Summary:

The Vice President of Sales & Marketing will have extensive experience in the firearm industry, be responsible for all aspects of marketing and branding of the company and products. This individual will oversee new customer/sales development, customer relationship management, analyzing the competitive environment, forecasting sales, managing distributors and managing the Sales Team /Customer Service/Marketing. The VP will also work with the Production team to achieve customer fulfillment by balancing inventory/production/sales, helping develop new products and packaging, analyzing quality characteristics and complaints. The VP of Sales & Marketing provides leadership, drives sales, acts as a coach, mentor, and facilitator. This person will have widespread knowledge of competitors, technical issues, strategic planning, market development, branding and business planning.

Essential Functions:

  • Establish sales programs, pricing, distribution structure and commissions.
  • Develops a Business Plan and Sales Strategy for the assigned markets – to ensure the attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Identification, origination, conversion of new accounts.
  • Manages and supervises existing accounts.
  • Develops strategies, new product positioning, forecasting, reporting.
  • Works with Production to resolve customer complaints regarding sales, service and product functionality.
  • Leads the development of the company brand strategy. Leads the Marketing team to ensure consistency and effective company-wide compliance with branding initiatives.
  • Works with the CEO and CFO to establish contracts and pricing for major accounts.
  • Develops appropriate performance objectives for all team members, coaches team members and directs day-to-day activities of the team.
  • Prepares major customer development action plans, as well as, plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
  • Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets. Directs the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
  • Establishes and maintains customer, industry and colleague relationships by developing and constructive, cooperative and fun working relationships with others.
  • Interfaces with industry groups to take advantage of opportunities for new market development, product studies, product promotion and public outreach.
  • Provides timely feedback to the Executive Team regarding performance.
  • Maintains accurate records within CRM program of all interactions, pricings, sales, etc.
  • Prepares and presents proposals and presentations.
  • Controls department expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  • Maintains close communication within industry to stay abreast of competitive activity, pricing and market trends and uses that to own the market and price forecasting process, inform strategic product and customer choices and provide guidance and information on industry trends and developments to the Executive Team.
  • Directs activities to represent the company and promotes products at conferences and trade shows.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in the firearm industry.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing sales, marketing, and customer service personnel.
  • Proven ability to drive sales performance, present samples and concepts appropriately to customers, meet demanding time schedules and effectively lead in a salesperson/relationship role.
  • Effective at organizing, planning, and prioritizing work to maintain contact with all customers and prospects in the market area, ensuring high levels of account conversion and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills- with excellent ability to understand and translate customer requirements and excellent ability to interact and cooperate with company employees in all functional disciplines.
  • Self-starter with a mature outlook. Proven ability to operate independently and achieve results; enthusiastic, committed and conscientious.
  • Creative strategic thinker - able to meaningfully contribute to the development of the company’s short and long-term strategy.
  • Effective decision maker and problem solver. Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose a solution that benefits both the supplier and the customer.
  • Strong computer literacy and quantitative skills to enter data, process information and communicate.

Reports to: The CEO

Full-Time position.
