MADISON, ALA., March 12 - In light of nationwide efforts to stem the spread of COVID-19, SLG², Inc, DBA: Shoot Like a Girl (SLG), has decided to postpone the upcoming event in Destin, Florida.

“As law abiding citizens and gun owners, it’s our civic responsibility to consider the health of our clients, instructors and the general public,” said Karen Butler, President, SLG. “With input from some of our corporate partners we have decided to postpone this trip, error on the side of caution and heed the requests of our President with regards to the COVID-19 virus, concerning travel and social gatherings.”

The event, scheduled for March 14 – 15, is one of many on a coast to coast tour providing women, ages 16 and older, first-hand shooting experiences with a state-of-the-art military grade firearms simulation system in a customized trailer/range set-up.

Participants gain experience in handling and shooting handguns and long guns by certified instructors and can also shoot a bow guided by an archery coach. The experience is afforded at no cost to participants, thanks to partnerships with companies supporting the shooting sports industry.

SLG will make determinations on future events on a case by case basis and hopes that the culmination of measures taken to mitigate the spread of the virus will bear positive results.
